Drum Circle: Pigment and Discharge
The base of this fabric is a green cotton duck on which I discharge printed my Drum Circle print which came out a wonderful ivory color. A top layer of summery turquoise turns this print into an exciting textural feast for the eyes. Cotton duck is a great fabric for pants or jackets as well as utility items like tote bags, yoga pillows and table cloths.
Priced PER YARD. At this time I can only cut whole yards. Anyone wishing to purchase all 4 yards will receive and extra 3/4 yard for free! 58” cotton duck, 15”x26” repeat. I’ve used a combo of pigment and discharge printing to create a beautiful uneven texture. There are spots that come and go from being very sharp and visible to soft and worn looking. This print is suitable for a project needing strong visual interest.
Washing instructions: cold water with like colors; tumble dry; iron if necessary.
Drum Circle is one of my favorite prints. It is part of my Northern California collection and is inspired by gatherings of people to play drums in the redwood forests of Fairfax, CA where I lived for a number of years.
All of my prints are designed and printed by hand. From initial repeat layout and painted film positives to in-studio exposed screens and final printing the whole process is done using traditional methods. Printed textiles are my passion and I hope you will be able to use it to create something you are passionate about!
