California Quail with Terracotta Monoprint
In this piece I have paired my gorgeous silkscreen design, California Quail, with a mono-printed squiggle line. The colorway is a softened version of the popular 1990’s home furnishings combo of navy and rust. Nice, crisp, cotton hand and wonderful drape.
This print is on 100% cotton poplin and would be a fantastic blouse or dress. It would also make wonderful toss pillows or table linens. 15”x26” repeat. 45” wide.
Price is $68.00 PER YARD. I have 7 yards of this printed fabric. At the moment I can only cut full yards.
I use pigment for all my printed textiles. The nature of pigment printing is to soften over time creating a sun-washed, vintage look. Washing instructions: cold water; like colors; tumble dry; medium iron if necessary.
All of my textiles are designed and printed by hand from initial layout, painted film positives and exposed screens to final printing. California Quail is part of my Northern California collection inspired Marin county. Taking walks in Bear Valley to watch the quail hop along the trails and along fallen logs and the smell of eucalyptus and sunshine baking the grassy hills are wonderful memories I have of living in California.
